What are the factors that affect the shape of roll gap?

The variation of the transverse thickness difference of the strip (the shape of the cross section) and the change of the shape of the strip are caused by the change of the roll gap shape. The factors that affect the roll gap shape:
(1) elastic bending deformation of rolls. The size of the middle part of the roller gap is larger than the size of the edge, and the middle part of the strip is convex, and the edge is thinned. The larger the rolling force, the greater the elastic bending deformation of the roller; the larger the diameter of the roller, the better the rigidity.
(2) thermal expansion of roll. The heat generated by the friction deformation of workpiece and workpiece and roller rolling when the heat generated by the heating will cause the roll. The cooling lubricant will make the roll cooling. The heating and cooling of the roller body is inconsistent. Under the influence of various factors, the thermal expansion of the middle part of the roller is larger than that of the two ends.
(3) wear of roll. The friction between the work roll and the strip, the work roll and the supporting roller can cause the roller to wear. For example, the influence factors of roll wear are in many aspects, and between the roller and strip material, surface roughness and hardness of roll, rolling force and rolling speed, forward slip and sliding as well as the size of the support roll and work roll sliding speed will affect the speed of roller wear. In addition, the roll wear is uneven along the length of the roll body, which affects the shape of the roll gap.
(4) the elastic flattening roller. When rolling, because the rolling force between the strip and the work roll work roll and the back-up roll will produce elastic flattening. The numerical gap shape is roll flattening roller, but the value of different size flattening roll along the length direction. The work roll, if the rolling force is evenly distributed along the strip width direction, the elastic flattening working roll is also full of uniform distribution. The contact length, contact length between the work roll and supporting roll and work roll and strip is greater than the contact length, the pressure is not the same, so that between roll and roll elastic flattening value along the length of the roll direction is not uniform. The uneven flattening between work roll and the back-up roll caused changes in roll gap shape.
(5) the original roll profile (convex, concave or cylindrical). The original roll shape of the roller is different, and the shape of the roller gap can be artificially different. In the production, we use the original roll profile to compensate the influence of the above factors on the roll gap.
